Delete your account and data
There are two ways to delete your account. The in-app route is instant and is the one to use if you still have the app installed.
If you have the app installed
- Open DMV Permit Practice Test.
- Tap Profile in the bottom bar, then the Settings icon.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete all my data.
- Confirm. Your account and everything listed below are deleted immediately.
If you no longer have the app
Email dr.irfan.mansuri@gmail.com from the Google account you signed in with, with the subject line "Delete my DMV Permit Practice Test account".
Sending from that same address is how we confirm the request is yours - we will not delete an account on the word of a different address. Requests are actioned within 30 days, and usually within a few days.
What gets deleted
- Your account record, including the email address, display name, and profile photo URL that Google provided at sign-in.
- Your entire progress backup: every practice session and mock exam, every individual answer, completed lessons, daily study activity, and achievements.
- The state you selected and the display name you set inside the app.
- Everything stored locally on the device the deletion is performed from.
Deletion is permanent. Nothing is kept in an archive, and there is no restore. Signing in again afterwards creates a brand-new, empty account.
What is not deleted
- Your Google Play purchase. A one-time unlock belongs to your Google account, not to your app account, and stays there. If you sign in again later it restores automatically at no extra cost. Refunds are handled by Google Play, not by us.
- Cloudflare's transient network logs from content downloads. These carry no account identity and expire on Cloudflare's own schedule.
